Carlos Urquiola joined 星空体育app下载 Valuation & Advisory in 2017 as Vice President of the firm鈥檚 Healthcare & Seniors Housing practice. In this role, Urquiola executes appraisals on an array of seniors housing and healthcare properties while implementing revenue and market share growth initiatives.
With over 15 years of concentrated professional experience ranging from real estate valuation services to financial/asset management analysis, Urquiola has developed an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the seniors housing and healthcare capital markets. Urquiola鈥檚 professional knowledge core stems from the completion of hundreds of real estate and going concern appraisals of seniors housing and healthcare properties including, but not limited to, assisted living facilities, independent living communities, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, medical offices, psychiatric hospitals and behavioral health facilities. Furthermore, he has contributed to the valuation of acute-care hospitals, specialty hospitals, and long-term care hospitals. Consulting services previously provided include market analysis, site selection, go dark valuations, market rent studies and highest and best use analysis for national seniors housing and healthcare providers.
Prior to joining 星空体育app下载 Valuation & Advisory, Urquiola was a financial/asset management analyst at Sentio Investments where his extensive range of functions and responsibilities included monthly financial performance oversight, asset preservation, and the implementation of portfolio strategies that were centered on the objective of maximizing investment returns. Sentio Investments was the advisor of Sentio Healthcare Properties, which held a nationwide portfolio exclusive of seniors housing and healthcare assets prior to being acquired by Kayne Anderson was a real estate investment trust (REIT).
Prior to Sentio Investments, Urquiola was with Salus Valuation Group as a certified general appraiser specializing in the valuation of seniors housing and healthcare properties. As a member of Salus鈥� inception team, Urquiola was an integral part of the firm鈥檚 initial organization and process development, which laid the groundwork for its success and future growth and contributed to its distinction as a specialty practice and industry leader. In May of 2012, following the exponential growth of Salus Valuation Group, Urquiola was promoted to Senior Director.
Urquiola commenced his professional emphasis as a member of Cushman & Wakefield鈥檚 Valuation & Advisory Senior Housing/Healthcare Practice Group, where he collaborated on the valuation of a variety of healthcare-oriented properties, including hospitals, surgical centers, medical offices, behavioral health facilities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and continuing care communities.
