I am a leader in the Operational Real Estate team specialising in valuation. I lead valuations for a wide range of clients in the NHS, Museum, Local Authority, University sectors as well as the London Estates.
I have particular expertise in portfolio valuations, financial reporting valuations and the Depreciated Replacement Cost method. I am responsible for coordinating advice from across the firm to deliver well considered and comprehensive advice to a broad client base.
I am a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer.
Bringing you expert advice
- One of my main areas of focus is providing accurate and timely asset valuations to NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts. As the majority of the NHS estates comprise 鈥榮pecialised assets鈥 it allows me to use my 16 years鈥 experience in the depreciated replacement cost method to deliver expert advice on areas such as 鈥榤odern equivalent asset鈥, 鈥榓lternative site鈥 and obsolescence rates in older buildings.
- I have provided IFRS compliant valuations on many of the City of London鈥檚 operational assets including the Old Bailey (Central Criminal Court) and the Barbican Arts Complex.
- Having co-authored an RICS information paper on 鈥榬ight of use asset鈥 valuations, I am a subject matter expert in IFRS 16 Lease valuations, which is now a requirement under IFRS and I have provided training to external bodies.
- Specialist assets such as museums require financial reporting valuations, and I have delivered these for the Natural History Museum; the National Maritime Museum; the Science Museum and the Royal Armouries.
- Having valued over 拢5bn of University assets under FRS 102, I am skilled in valuing specialist assets, including laboratories, student residences, performing arts venues, observatories as well as lecture theatres and faculty buildings.
- I have led the delivery of large complex portfolio valuations such as the Wellcome Trust鈥檚 South Kensington Estate. This involved co-ordinating the work across various Gerald Eve specialists in leasehold reform, hotels, residential, offices, education and retail sectors.
